SPC Implementation

Quality managers, engineers (manufacturing and quality), technical warranty managers, chemists, analysts, CQI coordinators, auditors

Roll up your sleeves for hands-on learning and practice with a variety of SPC (Statistical Process Control) (SPC) tools such as Pareto analysis, and CpK (process capability index), The course includes the collecting and analysis of data for statistical distributions, and control charts for variables and attributes. (Two and a half day course).

Learning Objectives

• Become consciously competent in the selection and use of Statistical Process Control
• Understand how SPC integrates into the total quality system
• Be able to differentiate data reporting versus SPC control
• Select and use the best-suited control chart
• Know the appropriate selection and application of attribute versus variable charts
• Understand when and how to use fixed versus variable sample sizes
• Calculate and set control chart limits
• Learn and use the rules for out-of-control occurrences.
• Demonstrate an understanding of troubleshooting using SPC
• Recognize how SPC helps determine process capability (CpK)
• Discuss implementation and management issues associated with SPC deployment
