Statistical Terms and Tests: ½ day

This session provides a high-level review of several of the most frequently used statistical tests, when analyzing data. Tests include Hypothesis Testing (of means and variances) ANOVA analysis, t-Tests and f-Tests. Also covered are the definitions of ‘statistical significance’ and p-values.

At the end of the session attendees will be familiar with these terms and should be able to both understand results of analysis conducted by others, as well as be able to ask questions about the analysis to ensure correctness. (example: If the average data of two groups of data are being assessed in order to understand if an induced change provides an improvement; “Were the samples themselves pulled from populations that have no, other known reason to be different?”
